About
My movement career started with dance. I went to the Hammond School of Performing Arts and I’m a qualified teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (Ballet) and the ISTD (Tap and Modern dance genres), which I taught for many years.
My movement path changed in 2000 when I met Lynne Robinson, Co founder and Director of Body Control Pilates, UK. I qualified as a Pilates instructor and have been teaching ever since.
I am able to use all the movement knowledge that I have gathered over many years of training, performing, teaching and learning to help my clients.
Continued learning is life long and critical thinking is key. This is why I will never lose my love of teaching movement.
I am a supervising teacher for the Body Control Pilates teacher training program, helping students with their teaching practice as they work towards their certification.
I am a Back4Good practitioner through the BCP program for healthy backs and a member of BackCare.
I’m interested in communication and I’m always trying to find the best ways to help my clients to understand their movement, their bodies and, if necessary, their pain. I aim to make your class the most enjoyable experience I can.
I strive to teach with empathy and encouragement and without judgement. It’s important to me that everyone feels welcome and has room to explore their own potential.
Movement never fails to make me feel better and I would love to help you find that experience too.
If you love movement, or want to cultivate a love of movement for your health and wellbeing, then these classes are for you. Because the way you feel can change your movement and the way you move can transform the way you feel.
