My name is Emma-Jayne and I’m a movement and Pilates teacher here in Sevenoaks, Kent.
I offer group, Pilates based, mat-work classes and one to one private sessions. I hope you will find my classes Mindful, Creative, Flowing and Fun.
I believe that a movement experience such as Pilates can: simultaneously quiet and invigorate, improve your creativity, prepare your body for all the things you love to do in your daily life. Or indeed, give you precious time out!
If you love movement, or want to cultivate a love of movement for your health and wellbeing, then these classes are for you.
Pilates is more than an exercise class.
It’s a movement education.
It will develop all the things we know are vital for movement health, including strength and mobility. But also concentration, coordination, balance, awareness and ultimately flow; the moment when everything comes together to become a fully absorbing mindful experience.
All those years ago when Joseph H Pilates was developing his method, he said it would ‘invigorate the mind and elevate the spirit’ and there is no doubt about the benefits, not only on our physical health, but also on our mental health and well-being.
